The #12 Asp-6 Prototype is the original prototype of the Asp series and represents one of the earliest instruments produced by Klesh Guitars.
Built entirely by hand in the Klesh Guitars Custom Shop, the Asp-6 combines premium tonewoods, modern performance, and a striking visual presentation into a straightforward and highly responsive instrument.
A 25.5" scale length and 24-fret design provide familiar playability while the Black Limba body and Curly Maple top deliver exceptional resonance, sustain, and visual character. The Eastern Rock Maple neck and Zircote fingerboard provide stability, clarity, and fast response across the entire fretboard.
Equipped with a DiMarzio X2N humbucker and a simplified single-volume control layout, the Asp-6 offers powerful output, exceptional articulation, and a direct connection between player and amplifier.
Finished in a Blue Burst Satin Nitrocellulose finish, the Asp-6 Prototype showcases the natural beauty of its materials while maintaining a smooth and comfortable playing feel.

The #12 Asp-6 Prototype represents the first instrument built under the redesigned Asp platform and marks an important evolution in the development of Klesh Guitars.
While earlier Asp instruments existed (two other), the design was slightly revised prior to the construction of #12. This instrument became the foundation for the updated Asp series, introducing a new interpretation of the model while retaining the performance-focused philosophy that inspired the original design.
Built as a fully realized professional instrument rather than an experimental concept, the Asp-6 Prototype served as the first example of the redesigned platform and established the construction, aesthetics, and specifications that would influence future Asp instruments.
