#29 Cleaver 432
Klesh Cleaver 432
Handcrafted Medium-Scale Bass
Serial #02906192026
Designed by Kade Holt • Handcrafted by Shane Klesh
Weight: 8 lb 9 oz
The Klesh Cleaver 432 is a handcrafted 4-string medium-scale bass built entirely from raw lumber in the Klesh Guitars Custom Shop in Colorado, USA.
Designed for musicians seeking comfort, versatility, and professional performance, the Cleaver combines premium tonewoods, boutique Bartolini electronics, and lightweight construction in a package equally suited for studio recording, live performance, and everyday playing.
Its 32" medium scale offers a balance between the comfort of a short-scale bass and the articulation, sustain, and string tension associated with traditional long-scale instruments. At just 8 lb 9 oz, the Cleaver provides excellent comfort for extended playing sessions without sacrificing tone or stability.
The natural Catalyzed Urethane finish highlights the rich grain and character of the Eastern Black Walnut top while providing long-term durability and protection.
Design Origins
The Cleaver 432 was conceived by Kade Holt, who first sketched the instrument as a rough concept drawing on a napkin. That original concept was developed into a production-ready instrument and handcrafted by Shane Klesh in the Klesh Guitars Custom Shop.
Built entirely from raw lumber in Colorado, USA, the Cleaver 432 represents the collaboration between Holt's design vision and Klesh's craftsmanship, resulting in a distinctive medium-scale bass designed for comfort, balance, and versatility.
